Who is responsible for copyright and takedown matters at Politikjournal24?

Politikjournal24, operated by Mitte Digital Media Limited (Gibraltar company number C 92102), handles all copyright and takedown requests through our designated copyright contact. Our team, overseen by Chefredaktör Simon Engels, ensures that every claim is investigated thoroughly and impartially.

We take intellectual property rights seriously. All content published on politikjournal24.de is produced in accordance with Swedish and EU copyright law. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been reproduced on our site without authorisation, please notify our designated copyright officer immediately. Requests must be sent to copyright@politikjournal24.de or addressed to our registered office at Level 2, Portomaso Business Tower, St Julian’s, STJ 4011, Malta.

What information must a takedown request include?

A valid takedown request must contain specific details to allow us to act promptly. Without complete information, we cannot process your claim.

Please include: (1) your full name and contact details (email, postal address, and phone number); (2) a clear description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; (3) the exact URL or location of the material on politikjournal24.de; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (5) a physical or electronic signature of the person authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner. Incomplete submissions may delay our response.

How does Politikjournal24 handle image rights and visual content?

We licence images from reputable agencies, use royalty-free material, or create original graphics in-house. All visual content is credited and used under appropriate terms.

If a photograph, illustration, or other graphic on our site infringes your rights, please follow the same takedown procedure described above. Specify the image and its location. We will remove or replace disputed content within 5 business days of verifying the claim. Our fact-checking team, led by Daniela Vogt (emma.sandberg@politikjournal24.de), may also contact you to confirm details.

What is the process after you receive a takedown request?

Upon receiving a complete request, we acknowledge it within 48 hours. Our legal team reviews the claim against our editorial standards and applicable law.

If we determine the content infringes copyright, we remove or disable access to the material immediately. We notify the affected article’s author and editor, and we may publish a correction or update per our Corrections Policy. If we believe the claim is unfounded, we will explain our reasoning in writing. In either case, we aim to resolve matters within 14 calendar days.

How can you appeal a removal or dispute a claim?

If your content was removed in error, or if you have a counter-notice, you may submit an appeal to copyright@politikjournal24.de.

Your appeal must include your name, the URL of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake, and your signature. We will forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant and restore the content within 10 business days unless we receive a court order to the contrary. For further guidance, consult our Terms of Use and Editorial Policy.

What about content submitted by readers or tipsters?

User-submitted material, including photos, videos, and documents sent via Tip Us, must be owned or properly licenced by the submitter.

By sending material to Politikjournal24, you warrant that you hold all necessary rights and that publication does not violate any third-party copyright. If we receive a takedown claim concerning reader-submitted content, we will remove it pending investigation and may contact the submitter. We encourage tipsters to review our Ownership & Funding page and our AI & Automation Policy before submitting.
