Politikjournal24 is published by Mitte Digital Media Limited, a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92102, Malta Business Registry), with its registered office at Level 2, Portomaso Business Tower, St Julian’s, STJ 4011. Full ownership and funding details are available on our ownership and funding page.
How does this site generate revenue?
Politikjournal24 funds its journalism through a mix of display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing agreements. These revenue streams allow us to keep our reporting accessible to readers in Sweden and internationally without imposing paywalls.
Display advertising is served through third-party networks and direct sales. Affiliate links may appear in articles where a product, service, or book is relevant to the story; if a reader clicks and makes a purchase, Politikjournal24 may receive a small commission at no extra cost to the reader. Sponsored content is clearly labelled as such and is never written by our editorial team without full disclosure. Newsletter sponsorships are separately identified in each edition.
What are affiliate links and how do you use them?
Affiliate links are hyperlinks that track purchases from external retailers. When a reader follows an affiliate link on Politikjournal24 and completes a purchase, we earn a commission from the retailer. This does not increase the price paid by the reader.
Our editorial team, led by Chefredaktör Simon Engels, decides independently whether to include affiliate links in an article. No advertiser or affiliate partner has influence over which products or services we cover, how we describe them, or whether we include a link. Every article containing affiliate links is reviewed by Redaktionschef Katrin Fischer before publication to ensure compliance with our editorial policy. Affiliate relationships are disclosed within the article text, typically near the link itself or in a footer note.
Does advertising affect your editorial decisions?
No. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions. The newsroom operates under a strict firewall: advertisers, sponsors, and affiliate partners cannot influence story selection, sourcing, headlines, or the tone of reporting.
Politikjournal24’s editorial mission — trustworthy Swedish journalism that helps readers understand complex issues without spin or oversimplification — governs every piece we publish. Any sponsored or commercial material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent reporting. Our sponsored content policy sets out the rules for such material. Fact-checking, source verification, and corrections are handled separately from any commercial consideration, overseen by Daniela Vogt, Ansvarig för faktagranskning.
How can I advertise or partner with Politikjournal24?
Enquiries about display advertising, sponsorship, content licensing, and commercial partnerships should be directed to advertising@politikjournal24.de. For broader partnership proposals, including joint events or syndication, write to partnerships@politikjournal24.de.
All commercial agreements are subject to our terms and conditions, which require that sponsored or affiliate content is clearly labelled and that editorial independence is contractually guaranteed. The commercial team does not share office space or reporting lines with the newsroom. Chefredaktör Simon Engels retains final authority over any editorial content that might relate to a commercial partner.
What is your policy on sponsored content?
Sponsored content is material produced by or in collaboration with an external partner that is published on Politikjournal24. Every piece of sponsored content carries a prominent label — for example “Sponsored” or “Partner Content” — at the top of the page and in any social media promotion.
Sponsored content is not written by members of our editorial team unless that involvement is explicitly disclosed. All sponsored material is reviewed by Redaktionschef Katrin Fischer to ensure it meets our standards of transparency and does not mislead readers about its origin. The full policy is set out in our sponsored content policy. No sponsor may claim that our journalists endorse their products, services, or political positions.
