What accessibility standard does Politikjournal24 follow?
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with cognitive, motor, visual and hearing impairments.

Day-to-day responsibility for implementing accessibility fixes falls under the digital production unit. Our fact-checking team, led by Daniela Vogt, also reviews any accessibility-related claims or user reports. How does the site support keyboard navigation and focus?
Politikjournal24 is designed to be fully operable using a keyboard alone. All interactive elements — links, buttons, forms and menus — are reachable via sequential tabbing. We implement visible focus indicators on every focusable element.
Users can navigate the main navigation, article bodies, sidebar widgets and footer links using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys. Skip-to-content links are provided at the top of every page. Dropdown menus and expandable sections respond to the Enter, Space and Escape keys. We test keyboard navigation on every major browser and operating system combination.
What contrast and visual adjustments are in place?
Text and background colour combinations on Politikjournal24 meet a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, as required by WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We avoid using colour alone to convey information. Links are underlined consistently to assist users with colour vision deficiencies.
All images that convey information include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology. We provide a reduced-motion mode for users sensitive to animations. Users can adjust their browser or operating system settings to reduce motion, and Politikjournal24 respects the prefers-reduced-motion media query. We do not use auto-playing video or flashing content.
Are there known limitations to our accessibility?
We have identified some limitations that we are actively addressing. Some older PDF documents linked from our archive may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Live comments sections and user-generated content may occasionally include images without alt text. Our editorial team reviews such content before publication but cannot guarantee every user submission meets our standards.
